At Planet Child Care Centre, all of the children are encouraged to participate and explore a wide range of activities and experiences. We have a strong focus on Music and Foreign Language through play. Throughout the day, the children have access to all of the regular pre-school "age-appropriate" activities, however we tend to use a lot of Music and Foreign Language. We explore music, via daily singing sessions and "hands on" with a wide variety of instruments (piano, guitar, violins, Brazilian birrembou, Japanese sasara, Thai welcome chimes, castanets, bongo drums, claves, rhythm sticks, tambourines, and triangles etc.). The children have (background) music playing in the room at all times. Many of the staff are bi-lingual, and the languages on offer to the children are French, Italian and Japanese. The children are exposed to foreign languages via stories, books and audio tapes, and we also sing songs in many languages.

Childcare Assistance is available to all families who are elegible. Applications for Government Fee Relief must be lodged at Centrelink within one week of commencement at Planet Child Care Centre. Each year these forms must be updated or else the Fee Relief is cancelled. It is the resposibility of each family to apply. Failure to lodge a new application form before the due date, will result in full fees being charged. Planet Child Care Centre is also registered with the Medicare Child Cash Care Rebate Scheme. Receipt can be lodged at any Medicare office to receive a rebate for eligible families.
